What is FTP?

FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol.

Using FTP, a user can upload, download, rename, delete, copy and move files on the server.

For the user to connect to an FTP server,  the client needs to download an FTP program like Filezilla.  There are a lot of FTP programs that a user can use.  We recommend FileZilla for users as it can be downloaded for free.  You can retrieve your FTP credentials by logging in to Plesk Panel where each domain has its own FTP login details.
