I can't connect, have I been blocked?

If you have repeatedly failed login attempts, then you might have been temporarily blocked by our network firewall. In this case please wait a few minutes and check to see if you can access your site again. If you are completely unable to access your site, please open a ticket from the Control Panel and provide us with your IP address (which you can get from www.whatismyip.com) so that we can check if you have been blocked.

The reason why you may be blocked is because of the brute-force detection systems in place on our servers. The brute-force detection system is a security system which protects accounts from intrusions by monitoring for failed logins. If many repeated failed logins are detected it will temporarily block the IP address that is trying to access the account in order to prevent someone from being able to continually guess an account's password. This system blocks many attempts to gain access to accounts and has been very successful at protecting our customers from persistent hacking attempts.

The intention of the brute-force detection system is to block malicious users from being able to access accounts, however, some false positives do sometimes occur. If you experience further difficulties please send us your IP and we will check the firewall. We will then, of course, unblock the IP address if it has been blocked.

If you end up getting blocked we highly suggest fixing the incorrect username or password which is being used by one of your computers/devices as this is what is causing the IP address to be blocked. We recommend making sure that the correct username and password is entered otherwise your address could be blocked again for security purposes.
