Install and Setup FileZilla


This article describes how to set up your account in FileZilla so that you can upload files to your website. FileZilla is an open-source program that you can download and install for free from the FileZilla website.

To set up your FTP account in Filezilla:

  1. Open FileZilla
  2. Select "File" menu
  3. Select "Site Manager"
  4. Click "New Site" and enter the name of your site
  5. In the "Host" field, enter your account's domain name
  6. In the "Protocol" field, select "FTP"
  7. If you wish to use FTPS (secure FTP), select "Require explicit FTP over TLS" in the "Encryption" field
  8. Select "Normal" for logon type
  9. Enter the FTP Username and Password for this domain and then click "Connect"


These login details will be saved for future connections and you can now upload files to your domain.
