Troubleshoot FileZilla Connection Errors

When you can't connect to the FTP server using FileZilla and you encounter some connection errors like the screenshot below, it could be that your FTP login details are incorrect:

Filezilla Connection error message

In this situation please check that you have entered your FTP login credentials correctly. The information should be as follows:

  • Hostname: your domain (eg domain.com)
  • Port: 21
  • Username: account username
  • Password: account password

If you still can't connect to your FTP account, we suggest resetting your password from Plesk.
